To
begin your virtual class, you must be on the
Internet.
- This
means that you first begin a session logging into
your Internet Service Provider (for example, AOL,
Earthlink, AT&T,
etc.).
- If
you access the Internet via your Local Area Network,
you must log into your Local Area Network.
Once
you are on the Internet, you will use
your web browser to find the Distance Learning
Providers log in page. You will receive
the address to that page prior to your first
session, along with a user name and
password that you will use to log in.
During
a virtual classroom session, you are connected
to the instructor and the other participants
through Distance Learning Providers' servers.
You will be able to see and hear the live instruction.
You can also ask and answer questions using
your microphone.
|
After
you have logged in to your virtual classroom
session, your PC screen will look something
like this...
|
 |
Next,
we will look at each part of this screen, and
see how you will use the tools on this screen,
to talk and interact with your instructor and
the other participants.
