The
Virtual Classroom takes place inside a special
window, designed to help you see and hear the
class, and to communicate with your instructor
and other participants. you can use the buttons
and options in this window, to participate in
your session.

Along
the top of the Virtual Classroom window,
you'll see buttons and controls. Here's
what each of these buttons and controls
do...
|

|
This section of the Virtual Classroom
window controls the volume of sound going
to your speaker/headset, and the volume
of the sound your microphone sends.
- Use
the top slide control to adjust your
speaker volume.
- Use
the bottom slide control to adjust your
microphone volume.
Remember,
the volume of your speakers or headset
speakers can also be controlled by your
computer's settings, and by any knobs
on your speakers or headset. If you have
difficulty controlling the sound level
using the controls in the Virtual Classroom,
check your computer's volume controls
and the knobs on your spearkers or headset.

|
When
you have a question, and you want to
get the attention of the instructor,
or if you want to answer a question
that the instructor has asked of the
class, click on this button to "raise your hand." The
instructor will recognize you. |
|
|
The
instructor may ask the class a question
that can be answered either "Yes"
or "No." Your instructor may
also ask everyone if they understand
a particular idea and are ready to move
on.
- Click
on the green check mark to answer "Yes."
- Click
on the red X to answer "No."

|
|
The
Virtual Classroom allows you to interact.
When the instructor or one of your
classmates says something that you
find amusing, you can click on the "happy face" to
show your approval. |
|
|
Another
way to indicate your approval is the "applause" button.
When the instructor or a fellow participant
does a good job, let them know. Click
on the clapping hands button to applaud. |
|
|
If
you need to step out of the Virtual Classroom
session for a restroom break, to take an
important call, or whatever reason... click
on the Door button. When you come back from
your break, click on this button again,
to indicate your return. |
