WBT stands for Web Based Training.

Web Based Training is one form of asynchronous training. In WBT, participants can browse content that has been published to the Internet. With current technology this content can contain multimedia and animation, online assessments, email forums and chat rooms; however, WBT content lacks the interactivity found in instructor-led synchronous training.
