Description:
Whether
you think your contract employees are the answer
to your prayers or a necessary evil, you are
faced with the difficult challenge of managing
the independent worker. Whatever the answer,
you have to understand the needs and expectations
of the contract employee in order to reap the
benefits of their expertise and knowledge. You
also need to manage your staff's expectations
so they are not threatened or de-motivated by
the higher premium (both pay and perceived special
treatment) given to the contract employee. This
workshop will:
- Provide
an understanding of the values and priorities
of the contract employee
- Help
you avoid antagonizing the rest of your staff
while you motivate the contract employee
- Give
you specific actions and tools to get the
best results from the contract employee despite
the limitations on what you can and cannot
do to appraise and reward their performance
